I might come off as rude
but I'm not really
just blunt at times
or in a bad mood
it's just fun and games

keep the past in mind
we've had good times
do not readily throw it all away
on account of the dumb things i tend to say, hey
I'm human, I ain't immune to mistakes
I make 'em, and then learn not to again
there is pain, but it's not in vain
you've got to lose to gain

life's hardships have made me tough
I've learned to let go; to not let feelings show
to act indifferent even though

by people I thought mattered
I cared and actually believed
good things could last; I was deceived
putting everything on the line
was the biggest blunder I made in time
since then I've been rather reserved
not telling more than people deserved
molded by the past, my nature IS conserved
