Cereal with Class

Second week of exams was shit. Thought I was already in the exam mood..but of course, distractions are everywhere.
Sometimes, the Internet can be really evil. I can't study or anything because the Internet and TV are just SITTING THERE, waiting for me to turn them on (lol whut.) !
Urgh.
I screwed up my Physics 1 eventhough it was an easy paper. URGH. Why did they put it on the same day as Chemistry?!? I suck at Chemistry! And because my Physics>Chemistry I focused on Chem but ..
I completely ignore Physics. So I screwed both of the papers. Haih.
Oh and who knew Pn Siti Fairuz was such an anal about disciplinary rules about sleeping during exams lol. I thought she was the passive carefree type cos she's so cute with the chubby cheeks and huge eyes and lips that turn up at the corner. Turns out I'm wrong. I bet most of the time people get called out for sleeping in class is because of her.
Looks can be so deceiving sometimes.

My ideal life. As in, ideal future.

I'll be in my home office, because I'm so high up my career ladder, I can work at home and still make loads. My home office has an enormous window - the entire wall! - and it has red velvet curtains with gold trimming, because that's what they always have in the posh offices you see in the movies - it's always green or red, red or green.
My desk is dark varnished wood, the kind that is so shiny, you can't resist running your hands over the surface. It will have fancy craftsmanship, preferably horses. Because horses are majestic, and wooden horses on shiny wooden desks are even more fancier.
I'll have a swivel chair, because swivel chairs are fun to have and they look professional. The chair will be either maroon or black leather.
Photos of my beautiful family will be on my desk, so I can look at them while I work. Silly, I know, because we're just a wall apart but still.
The walls will be this brownish-grey colour, and the bookshelves will be the same shade. The walls will have paintings and photos of famous photographers, because it will look good and impressive. And besides, if I put my family photos there, what will there be left to hang outside the office?

My little son, Ashton Bradford whatever and my daughter that is yet to be named because I can't think of a cool enough name right now, will come in my office, bearing a tray of snacks they conjured up. They are followed by the man of my life. Tall, handsome for his age and lovely forearms. He is wearing the blue and white striped shirt I love so much, rolled up at the sleeves to reveal his forearms. He knows I adore his forearms, because they are so muscular and manly and nice to hold. He is wearing this shirt because he loves me, even though he might not like it so much. He still wears it anyway, because that is how much he loves me.

My husband is a successful owner of his own PR firm. And though he's a busy man, he always makes time for his family because it's the type of man he is - another factor to why I love him so much and agreed to marry the man.

The fantasy ends here because I do not want you to know what happens after, because I am not sure how old you are when you are reading this and I don't want your parents sue-ing me for corrupting your minds.

Because what happens after the kids are sent off to play in their nursery, and after the door is locked firmly and the curtains drawn shut, is completely none of your business. I will be a very happy woman with a man with fine, fine hands.

Amazing what exams can do to a person. Do you know how it feels like to forget to bring your watch to school when you have exams? It's terrifying. You have no idea of finding out what time it is and whether or not you should speed up your work. Last time, I had the luck of sitting somewhere in the middle where some kind soul will flash me the time. Now I sit in front, like smack-bam-in-front-of-whiteboard-front. And my classroom has no clock.

Because there is no watch to tell me the time, I had to write like a madwoman - resulting me in a lot of mistakes and of course, being TOO fast means I'm always ahead of people.

I didn't bring a watch to the Sejarah paper 3. Thank GOD teacher wrote the time on the board, otherwise I'd be completely SCREWED. We had to change the sentences and use our own words right? Yeah, I focused on that on Question 1, taking my own sweet time cos well, three hours! Expectation was that we'd have loads of time ahead of us.
WRONG! We can NOT be more wrong.
By the time I finished the first question, one hour has passed. And there's 8 questions.
SO you can imagine what happened lol I feel thankful that I had Eunice's bahan. SO useful. Had I decided not to photostap a copy, I would've been sitting there cracking my head for answers.
The problem was, we were in such a rush to finish the paper, we have NO time to think for answers. I kid you not.
Thankfully I finished the paper in time. Fingers crossed I get more than 50 for the paper lol.

DON'T GET ME STARTED ON MATH PAPER ONE.
Pn Intan, why? Why?!
Not only was there not enough time, the questions were HORRIBLE. You couldn't even focus too much time on a question, because then there wouldn't be enough time for the rest of the paper! Banged a lot of questions. God. Those circle questions. Ridiculously mind boggling. I only had five minutes left and three questions to go.

Coming from a Chinese primary, where what you got for Maths is how they look at you intellectually, saying Maths sucks is unheard of. You just have to do more exercises. Which is what they did. You can never go through a day without having heaps of Maths homework waiting for you to finish and hand in on the next day. Don't hand it in or leave some questions blank? The cane is waiting.

Maybe that's what I ought to do. Because the concept of understanding formulas is out of the window. Too accustomed to the Asian way of drilling it in your head. Hey, old habits die hard.
Must do better in Maths. My dad's an engineer you know. Which means he's fairly good in Physics and all things Mathematical.
I remember when I asked him Maths questions in primary school lol. He said I'm stupid if I don't know how to solve them. He said even kindergarteners can do it.
Yeah, no pressure, right?
Psh.

Fingers crossed for Chemistry.

..and Add Maths.

And Biology....

....and Physics

Okay, just pray for my exam-well-being.

The government has allowed our school two classes to participate in the Merdeka gathering at Stadium Bukit Jalil. Upon hearing, it sounded like a drag because it was 3pm-11pm. Part of me was excited though, because I've never participated before.

Reached school at 11am but the bus arrived at 1pm+.. Took us an hour to get there to find that the gates into the stadium will not open until 3pm. So we lepak-ed around. Saw Nadia! :O was it...fate? HAHA.
Anyways, there was this troop of bald-headed men walking around. They were all wearing the same uniform and the same bag, slung on the same shoulder. And they were EVERYWHERE. Some of them were hot thought ;D my mom told me they're cadets. I just realised that they were probably hiding some pretty hot bodies underneath that white shirt. Hmm.

My friends wanted to go to the toilet so I followed them to the portable toilets there. Orange for boys, Pink for girls. There was a group of cadets all lining up at the orange toilets and the line never seemed to get shorter. It was so awkward standing outside waiting. It took everything in me not to stare back ._. the cutest part of the portable toilets is - the only way to flush is to step on this pump on the floor which opens a valve or something that allows the water to flush the toilet! ISN'T THAT TOTALLY CUTE?!

The celebration was awesome! Even though we had to get our own food because the food was late and it sucked lol there was a nice Malay auntie who was selling makanan berat. She's really nice - the ONLY one who smiled.

I had the time of my life there. We even did the human wave. In my opinion, the sekolah menengah group is WAY more semangat than the old geezers. Probably cos we were psyched. And younger LOL. We waved our flags like crazy, screamed really loud because everyone was doing it though we're like "what's happening??" LOL, sang - lalalalala-ed to the lyrics we didn't know :P - and tweeted. We surpassed the Malaysian book of record in tweeting. The MC was like "Tweet-" and we're like "MERDEKA!!"
Or he'll be like "Satu!" and we'll be like "MALAYSIA!!!"

Debbie and Kar Sing disappeared for a long time. Wink wink nudge nudge ;) everyone was like OOOOOOOH ;) where have YOU guys been? And KarSing just smirked and drank his water. HAH! As if they could fool us. Could've sworn I saw him blush TEE-HEE.

There was this performance by this group of people is white, blue, red and yellow one-sies. SO CUTE. Forgot their name but it was really entertaining watching them. Like little kindergarteners LOL.

When it was time to go back, my voice totally changed from all that screaming. I sounded like a man and everyone laughed whenever I talked LOL cos my voice cracked if I talk loud. So I sat down and looked out. And waved at everyone LOL I am very happy to say that all the hot boys waved back :)
There was one guy who didn't wave back. The bus stopped and I looked at him and waved until he was like o_o me? *awkward smile and wave* HAHA there were also a few girls who waved back very semangat-ly. The guys wave at us openly, the girls needed eye-contact to wave back. The old people just looked at us LOL EVEN THE BUS DRIVERS WAVED BACK HAHA.

Yes, it has been a very perpaduan-filled day. So fun :) worth the time being there.

Went to KLCC, again. Yes, I know. Three Saturdays straight has been spent at that place, but what can I say? The foreigners there are cute. Saw a few today :P one was really cute and another one was really tall + hot.
ANYWAY, I'm not here to talk about my obsession on cute, innocent tourists.
Today, I went to the book fest! AND I DIDN'T BUY ANY CLOTHES. Give me a gold star someone, considering how long I spent at Topshop and came out EMPTY-HANDED. I wanted that brown satchel so bad....but... it's RM189. My parents will kill me.

So today's buys :

Gossip Girl - The third collection.
I know, I know. I don't have the first OR second collection. But c'mon! It's gossip girl! Three books for only RM19.90! And it's only for today!! WHAT COULD I DO. After seeing it's original price - RM124 - it became even more irresistable.

The Gift - Cecelia Ahern. IN HARDBACK.
I have been wanting this book for SO long. But it didn't seem rational to pay RM30+ for such a thin book, so I never got it. Until today when I saw it selling for RM9.90. STEAL!
Popular had this sticker on it that said what was its original price - RM79.90 - and my Mom thought I was buying it for that price lol she was like OMFG NO and I was like, -.- it's 9.90 la

The Nanny Diaires.
Okay, I've never wanted this book so bad lol I saw it before, yeah but I was never REALLY attracted to it.
Today, I was attracted by its price - RM12.90. And it's been made to a movie, so it has to be good right?

He's Just Not That Into You
This is a self-help book actually. It's been made into a movie, and I've read the reviews inside and it seems to be good. SO y'know me, compulsive and all :P RM12.90?

The Mediator - Meg Cabot
First of all, the cover is gorgeous so it attracted me. Secondly, Meg Cabot is a great author. I love her books, I love her writing and I ADORE The Princess Diaries series. Read them all, loved them all.
Oh Michael.

How To Be Popular - Meg Cabot.
Always wanted this, 'nuff said. And for such a low price - RM12.90? - how can I resist??

Also bought a book called "From Sketch to Watercolour" by Wendy Jelbert. I want to learn, so yeah :P from RM69.90 reduce to RM12.90 leh!

On the way out, my Mom was attracted to this booth with tea. It's one of those health teas for different parts of your body, like your liver for instance. Talk, talk talk. We went to their shop before and my Mom was like, pssshhh so expensive. But now she sanggup to buy wtf.
Their Lemon Honey is nice. Just add water. It's not a cordial. It's honey. Lemon flavoured honey. Makes sense?
Also tried their almond-walnut mix, which is fucking good.
But if you don't believe in these nutrition stuff I don't recommend you to buy it. It's a bit on the expensive side.

Anyway, bought a new shampoo! Recommended by my aunt and cousin.
Tresemme shampoo!
I wanted to buy the deep cleansing one but my Mom was adamant on choosing the one they recommended.
I did my research online and turns out the deep cleansing one is their best selling shampoo.
HAH!

So I went to Singapore with my parents for 4days3nights. Stayed at Albert Court Village Hotel. Okay okay la, not bad :) the sheets are clean, the toilet is clean, nothing much la lol I just wish their towels could be softer...but y'know. Whatever.

We drove there, you see. Road was smooth. Rained the whole way. On the way we stopped at Yong Peng for this fish ball shop that's apparently very famous lol it's called Yuan Yuen Fishball House. Go try! It's quite nice. The fishballs are handmade, using real fish. You can buy their dry noodles there for you to bring home to cook, handmade also!

Singapore is so clean *O* the toilets are clean as hell, don't need to find squat ones HAHA my mom always make me go to the squat-type toilets in KL cos the toilet bowl seats are dirty. Singapore different, seriously clean. Go my school toilets.. >_> cockroach, frogs, lesbian love letters on the walls, racist remarks, foul remarks about teacher written tiny on the handles hahahahaha SMKSM toilets no joke okay!

I went to hi-tea with my Mom and her friends at this 6 star hotel (which is REALLY GOOD. If you're rich, you should drop by there lol it's called GoodWood Park Hotel. The entrance has a red carpet for you, like seriously omg mad impressed). Initially we wanted to go for the English buffet, but then everyone was hungry and the english buffet only has pastries and small dainty sandwiches. So we went to the Coffee Lounge for Singaporean delights, which wasn't bad either. If I'm not wrong, it's S$46 for adults at the English buffet and S$24 for the Singaporean delights.

The buffet was so nice. I ate Laksa. Which is like, OMFG AWESOME STUFF THERE. Seriously. I usually go back Terengganu got their own laksa also nice. But this laksa is like, oh man. Must try. They ate the Mee Siam they say good also. The guys went for seconds also LOL. And there's those kuih kuih stuff which I don't like. There's also small cakes and puddings which is like, meh for me haha and you can make your own sundae! You can choose between strawberry ice cream and um I think cappuccino ice cream or something idk...and if you want toppings, you can have strawberry sauce, chocolate syrup, chopped pecans, or marshmallows. I regret not getting more of that laksa, it's that good. omfg spicy for me but I can't tahan too spicy haha if not diarrhoea hahahahahahahahahaaaaa .____.

On that night we went to Raffles Hotel for dinner with my parent's college friends. The food was Singaporean delights again lol. Their Mee Goreng and Crabmeat Fried Rice is good. My parents ordered the teh tarik and they hate it LOL. They say their teh tarik is like brown water with sugar only LOL. While we were looking for the toilet, we passed by this table outside with an angmoh family. Their son, not bad not bad HAHA too bad we took a different route back to our table. Haih. That good looking boy.
ANYWAYS, my parent's friends are so nice! This guy, whose name shall be left out in case some sicko reads this and go find him and murder or something, is so funny. He arrived at the table and immediately, he pat my Dad's shoulder and was like, "eh ____ what happened to your hair?" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH omfg. Then he told me my parents were really short last time, and I was like "Yeah, I know! *serious face* see, I'm short too!" and he laughed and was like, I like this one. *pride*

Another man, he's like an important man in Human Resources. He's nice :) see my dad go sit the other side, and then the other man face away from this guy. So sad la, he sit there ask who want to eat no one notice him lol I feel hurt for him XD summore he's paying, ohmaigod.

Went to visit my grandparents before leaving. My grandmother, is a cleaning woman-wizard (because witch sounds really...un-nice) and she shared with us these things she picked up from the aromatherapy book.

  1. Use pure lavender oil as an insect repellent. She puts a few drops on pieces of cotton and leaves it in the drawers and cupboards. She said she used to have roaches living in her cupboard. But after trying this lavender oil, the roaches disappeared!
  2. Vinegar as an ant repellent. She puts some on kitchen napkins and leaves them on the table. Or she drips some on a sponge and wipes the towels and walls. Her honey can leave on the table, no ants come okay!
I've read online that lavender oil isn't very effective on roaches, so they recommend peppermint oil. I also read before somewhere that peppermint is a natural roach repellent. If you can't find real peppermint leaves, you can use the oil. It's available at The Body Shop if you're interested.
You can also try lemon grass, or citronella - it's the same thing. My mom's co-workers who hates cockroaches and insects uses diluted lemon-grass to spray on his drainage thing so cockroaches won't come up from the sewers or something lol. I personally tried this lemongrass aroma therapy in a room in my house and the mosquitoes disappeared! Now that it finished the mosquitoes are back LOLOLOL. So if you want these stuff to work, you must be religious!

K that's all for today. CIAO MA CHERIE.
