my blog becoming a comment page all of a sudden...XD will try my best to post something other than comments. At the moment, be patient and read the comments, K?
ONE:
Well, the Education Minister has agreed to used back BM for primary and secondary school education or maybe even future in college or university. As in future Malaysia will become 1 Malaysia 1 Language and bringing Malaysia back to Stone Age. For those who can speak and write English have to be feel glad to what government has been decided. The reason why I said so is because we can find job much more easier in future and get better offer than those who only can speak and write Malay. I'm have to say “Sorry-lar” to you guys which only can speak and write Malay cause you all have to take number and wait for Malaysia government to hire you or those company who only having Malaysia internal business.
Here was my comments to all those support English.
The goverment has build the road for us to use but that doesn't mean we must use whatever they provide. If the road was jammed or what we still can pay toll to reach our destination. (Try to figure out what I hint.)
And those only support Malay I having some inquires.
Last Saturday I called to Mc Donald to place an order. That guy keep on denied Mc Donald have Fried Chicken and only have Ayam Goreng only. And I wasted 2 minute to explain what is Fried Chicken to that fella. May I know what the differences in between Fried Chicken and Ayam Goreng?
So don’t feel sad or disappointed bout what government has been decided. They have give our life more valueble and chances. We must feel proud of us and keep moving forwards!
MALAYSIA BOLEH!! APA-APA PUN BOLEH!!!

Hello Tun
I am very disappointed when the government want to change our learning language for mathematics and science back to BM.
I disagree with the government.I hate the government's new education system. When I heard the first time,I feel that the government was very very stupid.
Why would the government think something stupid out of his head. The government making this decision for what? Because they don't care about the future for us.
Now, the 21st century, we should try to communicate everywhere in this world, if we learn mathematics and science in Bahasa Malaysia then how i want to read the information about the science in internet how i can read and learn that?
Now I have two little brothers, one is 6 years old and another is 8 years old.I don't know when my two little brothers, in the future how they will learn the science form the internet through the international website. I don't want them to drag out by the stupid idiot government from making them to learn SCIENCE and MATHEMATICS in BM.
Now I don't believe the government new education system anymore.I feel I'm still lucky that because I was gave birth in 1998.Please tell the stupid government not to change our current education system.
Thank you for reading this Tun

Hello Tun (and others who read the comments),
I am a product of the BM affirmative action of the 80s and 90s. English was my 'native' tongue so to speak so I struggled with learning subjects in BM. This I believe is the condition of most townies. However, we did our best and I am currently embarking on a career in the sciences as a researcher.
My example cannot be used to show that BM is a good medium for teaching the sciences. It was in spite of BM that I excelled. My interest in science came because my parents fed my curiousity with books of science from an early age and these books were always english. With the internet, I can now access research articles 24/7 and these are all also in english.
My point being that substantial amounts of material must be made available before we can hope for BM to be considered a valid scientific language. The total amount of material published in BM is not enough to satisfy a curious mind.
The example of Phillipines versus Japan is ludicrious. Japan was a power during WWII while Phillipines was a colony. Japan had legions of scientists even during the 1940s. Even today, research articles are printed in English as it is the lingua franca, just as latin was used in binomial nomenclature. Are we next going to change the scientific names of every species on earth?
Even Astro is in english. Discovery channel, National Geographic etc are my faves. Looking at the BM subtitles make me squirm, its very badly translated and sometimes turns an innocent comment obscene.
There is no such thing as inborn predisposition to a racial language. A child is born with the capacity for learning language, any language. Its exposure that counts. If rural kids really have a problem then perhaps the goverment ought to run programs at the kindergarten level. Please, has anyone consulted child development specialists? If the purpose is to make scientists then please consult those already in the field and ask us what are our requirements. Ask us what do we need to fill in the shortage of manpower/brainpower and what is needed to stop the braindrain.
My fave BM quote is 'susah-susah dahulu, senang-senang kemudian'. On this premise is the basis of all success, all over the world. Take it to heart dear leaders of my beloved Malaysia. If not, it remains questionable who the real patriots are.
My thanks,
D-CAM
ALL FOR NOW!!!!
