Best of Friends.
When you're the best of friendsHaving so much fun togetherYou're not even aware, you're such a funny pair - Fox And The Hound, "Best of Friends"
You'll never know what you have right now until they slip through your fingers like soft silk. They're precious; they're strong, yet they're delicate. When you go to school and meet a whole new bunch of people, you get overwhelmed. Your best friend acts as a rock; they're solid and they're always there.
When you meet a special someone you really like, your best friend will be there pumping you on.
When you get a bad grade, your best friend will be there to wipe your tears and calm you down like a steady heartbeat.
When something horrible happens to you and you don't know what to do, you can count on your best friend to be there too. Even if they aren't necessarily smart or bright, they'll try and try and try.
What are we without our best friend? Or best friends?
Every time I watch that movie "The Fox and the Hound", I always end up crying a lot. You get to see Copper and Tod construct their relationship together. The hunter tries to pry them apart, but they always find ways to meet up. It's not lovey dovey stuff, they're just best friends.
Then Copper grew up and Tod meets a girl-fox. They grew apart, and somehow or another (I forgot) they weren't "the best of friends" any longer.
But the scene where the bear was about to claw Tod, Copper still saved him. Just goes to show that your best friend will still be there though you don't necessarily like each other anymore.
It's just like that line from "One Day".
"I love you Dex, I just don't like you anymore."
